What's stopping you?
Ok, so 18-year-olds have the right to vote - but you're not 18 yet. Don't worry - there's still plenty of stuff you can do.
- Lots of elderly people can't drive any more so it's hard for them to get out. Give somebody a lift to the polls - they'll love you for it!
- Be a Poll Manager. Did you know high school students in South Carolina can earn $120 for working at the polls on election day? Call the election commission - (803)734-9060 or go to www.state.sc.us/scsec/pollman.htm - to find out more. Since school is out on election day, what's stopping you?
- Influence your parents. Contrary to popular opinion, parents do listen to their kids sometimes. Remind them that if you don't vote you can't complain!
