Why Bother?
- Because you can
- Before the 26th Amendment to the Constitution 18 year-olds could fight in the Armed Forces but couldn't vote. Take advantage of your rights!
- Because just sitting there is stupid
- Don't like what's going on? Stop complaining and do something about it!
- Because issues affect youth
- Lots of the decisions politicians make - waging war, paying for health care, funding education - have a big effect on youth. Stand up for yourself!
- Because the kids need you
- What about your little brothers and sisters? Do it for them!
- Because you don't want to be a stereotype, do you?
- People say youth don't care. Show them they're wrong!
- Because you're off to a good start
- In 2004 youth voters had the largest gains in turnout. The increase was greatest among the youngest voters, 18-24 year olds. Keep up the good work!
