Ready to Vote

When you turn 18, will you be ready to vote?

About Ready to Vote

Ready to Vote is launching a state-wide educational campaign to encourage young people to register to vote and get excited about the 2008 Presidential election.

In 2003 Ready to Vote hosted the first Gubernatorial Debate with Governor Sanford and former Governor Hodges. Then in 2004, WIS-TV Craig Melvin hosted a forum with over one hundred high school students about what young people found important within the political system.

The Pod Squad with Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani. In 2007 Ready to Vote grew even larger by adding its own Pod Squad. The team's main goal is to go out to high schools and educate students about the importance of voting. They also attend fundraisers and rallies with Presidential candidates when they enter South Carolina. The Pod Squad has been able to interview the majority of the candidates from Senator Hillary Clinton to Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

With South Carolina ETV, Ready to Vote and the Pod Squad will reach out to thousands of first-time voters between now and the election. We will be traveling around the state getting to know the candidates, and going into high schools to educate students on the importance of voting.

Check our website regularly to find new video, pictures and news on all your favorite Presidential Candidates. To contact the Pod Squad, send an email to readytovote@gmail.com.
